JJ's Reef & Aquarium stocks a wide variety of freshwater fish and plants. Most of our fish are reared in large outdoor ponds and are monitored by staff biologist to assure that we get the best fish available in the industry. All of our freshwater plants are grown indoors under ideal conditions to assure that they are parasite and disease free.

About the Images

All of our fish are photographed under Marineland L.E.D. Double Bright lighting with no additional lights. We do not disturb the fish in the tanks to get a "Studio" picture but allow them natural movement so sometimes the images are not as sharp as we'd like.

About our Freshwater Fish & Aquariums

In 2007 we added around 1,000 gallons of freshwater fish to our store for our customers.  Unfortunately, we noticed a problem with the fish. They had Ich and assorted other issues. After a year of dealing with one problem after another we disposed of all our tanks. We spent two years looking at other set-ups, asking lots of questions of what our customers wanted and looking for the best fish that could be found.

When we set up the new tanks we went the extra mile. Each aquarium is independant of the next. By doing this we can quickly control any issues that arise. No more of the "Daisy Chain" systems that most use.

Our fish come in from one of the most reputable growers in the world and are worth it!
